DayZ is a multiplayer online survival game developed by Bohemia Interactive, immersing you in the unforgiving world of Chernarus, a fictional post-Soviet republic ravaged by a mysterious plague. Here, you’ll fight for survival against not only the infected (zombies), but also the harsh environment and other players with their own agendas. Every element in DayZ is geared towards a realistic struggle for survival. You’ll need to scavenge for food, water, and medicine, manage your health and hunger, and contend with the threat of illness and exposure. Chernarus is a vast open world (225 sq km) filled with abandoned towns, military bases, and sprawling landscapes. While not the only threat, the infected roam the world in large numbers. These violent creatures will relentlessly pursue you, forcing you to use stealth, cunning tactics, and sometimes brute force to survive. Up to 60 players can compete on a single server. DayZ features a persistent world, meaning the environment and actions of players leave a lasting impact. However, death is permanent. Die, and you lose everything, forcing you to start anew.
