KARAKARA2 is Calme’s second kinetic visual novel, published by Sekai Project. KARAKARA2 is set in the same post-apocalyptic world as its predecessor, with the Earth dry and hot and the mutant human-animal population dwindling. The game directly continues the story of Leon the pure human diner owner and chef; his two live-in animal-girl employees and ‘special friends’, Lucia and Aisia; and the local law enforcement officer and researcher, Cullen. Leon, Lucia, and Cullen now all know Aisia’s vampiric secret. Though Cullen has warned Leon to keep it secret, for fear that others wouldn’t be quite so understanding, Aisia is now comfortable taking her food from her friends when she needs it, and they, in turn, are happy to help her. Life continues as normal in the diner. This second game is again split into two stories, one for each of the two major new animal-human hybrid characters.
